Terms and Conditions
This page covers the main rules that apply when you use Melbet. We explain account requirements, betting procedures, payments, user responsibilities, and other important details you should know before signing up. Once you create an account, you agree to follow these rules. If something is unclear, contact support before you register. Melbet is operated by Pelican Entertainment B.V., a company registered in Curacao. The platform holds a gambling licence issued by the Curacao Gaming Control Board (licence number OGL/2024/561/0554). All operations comply with international gambling standards and applicable legal requirements.
User Responsibilities
You need to be at least 18 years old. No exceptions. If it turns out that a user is under the legal age, the account will be blocked and all funds cancelled. Melbet may request documents to verify your age and identity at any point. Your login and password are your responsibility. Do not share them with friends, family, or anyone else. When you sign up, enter your real details. Fake names, wrong dates of birth, or incorrect addresses will cause problems later, especially during withdrawals. Each user is solely responsible for making sure that online gambling is legal in their country or state of residence. If betting is restricted where you live, do not try to get around it. Melbet is not responsible for any legal consequences that come from using the platform in prohibited jurisdictions. Gambling is meant for entertainment, not a source of income. Set a budget before you start and stick to it. If something looks off with your account or you notice suspicious activity, let support know right away. Rude behaviour, threats, or harassment directed at other users or staff will result in account closure.
Account and Registration
You need an account to place bets or play casino games on Melbet. One account per person is the rule. Do not try to open a second one under a new name, email, or phone number. If duplicate accounts are detected, the administration reserves the right to block the new account for a period of up to 2 months while the investigation is in progress. If multi-registration is confirmed, all bets and winnings on the duplicate account will be cancelled. When you register, use your real name, date of birth, address, email, and phone number. We recommend choosing INR as your account currency during registration, because this cannot be changed later. Double-check your email because you will need it for verification and password recovery. Your account is yours only. You cannot sell it, transfer it, or let someone else place bets through it. If your personal details change, update them in settings or contact support. Accounts with fake or misleading information get closed.
Know Your Customer (KYC)
Melbet verifies the identity of its users to prevent fraud and comply with anti-money laundering regulations. This is standard practice and keeps everyone safe. You may be asked to provide documents at any time, and especially before your first withdrawal. For verification, you will need a government-issued photo ID (passport, Aadhaar card, PAN card, or driving licence) and a proof of address (utility bill or bank statement). Until KYC is complete, certain features may be restricted. Make sure your documents are clear and readable. Blurry photos or expired IDs slow things down. Verification typically takes 24 to 72 hours. If you refuse to provide the requested documents, your account may be suspended until verification is finished.
Deposits and Withdrawals
Melbet works with over 100 payment methods popular in India, including UPI, PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, IMPS, bank cards (Visa, Mastercard), e-wallets (Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz), and cryptocurrencies (BTC, USDT, and others). The minimum deposit is INR 75. Most deposits are processed instantly. Use payment methods registered in your own name. Third-party payments are not accepted. All deposited funds must come from legitimate sources. Withdrawals go back the same way the deposit came in. If you deposited via UPI, you withdraw via UPI. The minimum withdrawal amount starts at INR 150, depending on the method. Most withdrawals are processed within 15 minutes, though bank cards and bank transfers may take 3 to 5 business days due to NEFT processing. Melbet does not charge withdrawal fees in most cases, but your bank or payment provider might. To be eligible for a withdrawal, you must wager the full deposit amount at odds of 1.10 or higher. Deposits that were not used for betting may be cancelled if fraud is suspected. Melbet reserves the right to recommend a bank transfer instead of an e-wallet withdrawal under certain circumstances. Using third-party wallets is prohibited, and funds may be returned to the wallet owner.
Betting Rules
Melbet accepts bets based on its sportsbook. The minimum stake is EUR 0.20. The maximum stake depends on the sport, event, and market, and may be adjusted without prior notice. The maximum payout per bet is EUR 60,000. Once confirmed, a bet cannot be cancelled or changed. A bet is considered valid once a confirmation number appears on the website. Technical issues on the user’s side do not justify cancelling a registered bet. Melbet may void bets in certain situations, including technical errors, obvious pricing mistakes, or staff errors when creating the betting line. If a match is postponed and not resumed within the timeframe set by the rules for that sport, bets may be voided and refunded. Bets placed after the start of an event are invalid and will be returned, except for live betting markets where in-play bets are specifically accepted. Live score updates displayed on the site are for informational purposes only and cannot be used as grounds for voiding a bet. Results come from official sources, and once Melbet settles a bet, that decision is final. Before betting on a new sport, read the specific rules for that category on the Melbet website. Cricket, football, tennis, kabaddi, and esports all have their own terms.
Prohibited Uses
Melbet is for personal entertainment only. The following actions will result in account closure and confiscation of funds:
- Opening multiple accounts.
- Using someone else’s identity or payment method.
- Placing bets on behalf of other people.
- Using bots, scripts, or automated betting systems.
- Exploiting bugs, technical errors, or loopholes in promotions.
- Money laundering or depositing funds from illegal sources.
- Acting as part of a syndicate to bypass betting limits.
- Using unfair means to obtain information or circumvent restrictions set by the bookmaker.
If any of these violations are detected, Melbet reserves the right to block the account, cancel all bets and winnings, and report the activity to relevant authorities. Account balances will be refunded after the investigation is concluded, excluding any unfair profits.
Privacy Policy
Melbet collects personal data when you register and use the site, including your name, contact information, payment details, betting history, and device data. The data is used to manage your account, process transactions, verify your identity, and improve the platform. All information is encrypted and stored securely. Melbet does not sell your data to third parties. Information is shared only when required by law. For full details, see the separate Privacy Policy page.
Responsible Gambling
Gambling should remain a form of entertainment. When it stops being fun, something is wrong. Melbet provides tools to help users manage their activity, including deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, and self-exclusion options. If you want to restrict your gambling, contact support at [email protected] to request self-exclusion. You can also set deposit and loss limits through your account settings. If you are struggling with gambling-related problems, seek help from organisations such as Gamblers Anonymous or Gambling Therapy.
Changes to Terms
Melbet updates these terms from time to time. Any changes take effect from the moment they are published on the website. Bets placed before the update remain subject to the previous version of the rules. If you continue to use Melbet after the terms change, you accept the new rules. Check this page regularly to stay informed.
Complaints and Disputes
If you have a problem, start with support. Use live chat or email and provide all relevant details, including dates, amounts, and screenshots. Melbet will review the issue and respond. In any dispute, the server records stored by Melbet are considered the primary source of reliable information. If you are not satisfied with the resolution, you may refer the matter to the licensing authority in Curacao.
